Busy week

After exchanged the faulty goods bought on the PC Show on Wednesday, met Margaret at Auntie Irene's house to have dinner and also to pass her the stuff on Thursday. Auntie Irene also taught her how to make the "ZEBRA" Sponge Cake.

Due to last week's production was overwhelming, we produced another lot of 面茶. This time was better than the previous. Kekekeke!!! :D

This time round, more people were involved in the production... ds, 丁贞(AUntie Irene's Student), Margaret, Nicole and the Auntie living opposite. :D

Bread making machine? (26/10/2008) *Updated*

Only able to go to Auntie Irene's house on Sunday. Morning due to a session she had for making Durian Cake, she prepared extra ingredients for Margaret to make one for her 3rd sister's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARGARET'S 3RD SISTER.

After the session, due to Margaret's late appearance, we prepared the ingredients for the making of Glutinous rice and also chicken breast fillets.

When the Glutinous rice was cooked, smells so nice. Then we wrapped it in the Chicken Breast Fillets, add chicken stock and boil for 10 minutes. A special sauce was also prepared for this, yummy yummy. And both the dishes plus the chicken stock became our dinner. :)

In the evening, we tried to use the Bread making machine to prepare some dough for the Pumpkin Bread. After 1.5 hours, Auntie Irene found that the dough was very moist and need to keep adding flour and she wanted to dispose it. But, Margaret and me stopped her. We made some designs and so surprised to see the bread "GROW" bigger. So we bake the breads. Luckily the outcome was still very good... bread was still as soft and not hard even when I accidentially left a few pieces till today and they were still soft and yummy. (This phrase sounds familiar?)

Thank you Auntie Irene for preparing such Yummy food!

Singapore Kennel Club Championship Dog Show

The Dog Show was held on 24/08/2008 at Singapore Expo Hall 6B. I was there to help to setup the area on 23/08/2008. Due to this, was not able to go down to Auntie Irene's House and found out that I missed the chance of learning some of the fine food after visiting Margaret's and Nicole's Blogs. :(.

At the Dog Show, there were a total of 3 Championship Shows this time instead of 2, Grooming Competition followed by Fun Events and the Obedience and Agility Trials.

Due to the Fun Events was scheduled quite late (At 3.30pm), there were very few participants. Happened that my dog, CJ, entered 2 out of 3 events. Got 2nd for "Champion for a Day" (small dog category) and 3rd for "Waggiest Tail".

A morning with Love 972 DJ 陈粉櫻

Today woke up at 5.30am, so excited, because Love 972 DJ 陈粉櫻 will be hosting Huiji Waist Tonic New Year Promotion Roadshow at Zheng Zhong Ping Medical @ Blk 201E Tampines St 23, #01-70 at 9am, and Tampines Mall B1, NTUC at 11am.

粉櫻 arrived at 9.00am and she wore a red 旗袍, like a big walking 红包 promoting thes Tonic, but very pretty. :)

Every bottle purchased entitled to a goodie bag and the recipe from Hui Ji that was taught on radio during past Fridays. Get 2 bottles will get an extra bottle of free honey and an environmental freely bag.

I helped 粉櫻 to take photos with her Sony DC and at the same time with my DC also. But after a while, her DC's internal memory's full(She forgot to insert her 2Gb M2 card). After few shots with the memory card inserted, the DC's out of power....battery flat. :(

We left the Medical at about 10.10am and arrived at TM at 10.20am. We had a quick bite at Mos Burger at TM before starting at about 10.55am. I bought 1 bottle to try out and at the same time, give 粉櫻 my support.

AKU Championship Dog Show by SKC - Updated 31/08/07

Today was the 14th & 15th Asia Kennel Union Championship Dog Show and the show was a grand one as there were many VIPs, eg, Mr Yeo Guat Kwang MP for Aljunied GRC and 3 celebrity judges.

Yesterday was a busy day for us to set up the show ring @ Singapore Expo Hall 5. Me and Eileen reached Expo at around 11am to assist in the setting up: Prepare tables, arrange chairs, put up banners provided by the sponsors, arrangement of prizes, set up padock, mark out the lanes for the Fun Event Ring, setting up PA systems, etc. By 7.20pm, we were done and went home.

This is the Fun Events Ring

We arrived at the Expo at 10.50 am with Zorg. Went over to the Singapore Toy Dog Club's Show Ring to settle some $$$ with Nicon (I was assigned to help him prepare the program booklet). By 11.50am, there is a briefing with Jacklyn (SKC Staff), John (MC), and Ricky (ASD) as there were 3 VIPs coming to be judges. They were :

1) Miss Colleen Francisca (Miss World - Singapore 2006/2007) as she adopted a dog from ASD and she was the judge for the Best Dressed Dog In National Costume.

2) Mr Darren Tan (Winner of Project Superstar II), he's got a Pomeranian and he was the judge for Waggiest Tail and Best Trick.

3) Miss Andrea Fonseka (from Deal or No Deal & Live a Dream), she's a qualified GSD judge) and she judged Champion For a Day event.

I entered Zorg Doggy Olympic Run and Best Dressed Dog In National Costume events. Eileen to run with Zorg and I dressed Zorg up for the 2nd event. The first event Doggy Olympic Run started at about 12.25pm. The owner were to run with the dog to the opposite end, pick up a pack of dog food sponsored by The Honest Kitchen and run back. So Eileen paired with Zorg, but when started to run, Zorg ran loose and thus we lose. After this, she went over to Singapore Toy Dog Club to assist them in recording their show results.

Next, there was a presentation by Mr Ricky and a short interview with Miss Colleen on adopting of dogs at ASD. Followed by the next event Best Dressed Dog In National Costume at about 1.30 pm. Ther were 17 participants and I dressed Zorg in the Red Indian Outfit and she won a 2nd prize. Miss Colleen left after the event. As I was in the event, I was not able to take photos, so I had the photogragher, Nichlos Lee, to email me. Thanks him a lot for sending the photo to me.

Then the next event was the Fastest Eater. Dog treats were placed in the plate and the dogs compete to see who emptied the plate first.

Next event was Waggiest Tail and we waited for Mr Darren Tan arrival. He showed up at about 2.30pm and proceed with the event.

Mr Darren Tan with his Pomeranian

The owner of the dogs were to use any ways to make the dog wag its tail. After this, there was a short interval followed by the Best Trick event. Mr Darren Tan enjoyed watching the 5 pairs of owner and dog performing their best tricks.

Lastly, we had the Champion For a Day which started at 4.00pm (1 hour behind schedule).

Miss Andrea Fonseka

After a short interview with Miss Andrea, the event started with the Terrier Group, then Hound Group, Utility Group, Toy Group, Working Group, Gundog Group, Pastoral Group, followed by the Best In Show and Reserve Best In Show.

The Companion Dog Show ended at about 5.30pm and we started to pack up the area, keep the PA System etc.

Eileen left at about 7.30pm but she forgot to bring the house keys so I left at about 8.10pm.
