Weekend Yummies

Friday evening, after visiting the Comex 2009 at Suntec City, went over to Auntie Irene's house. There, 小凤 and Auntie Irene were busy baking a birthday cake. Since there were enough ingredients, 小凤 baked a smaller version of the cake and share with us (Margaret, Nicole and me) on Saturday. Passion Fruit matched Chocolate perfectly!!! Yummy, yummy. :D

It was a very warm weekend with a little bit of heavy rain.

Saturday went to Auntie Irene's house. We prepared 面茶 . The procedure was quite tedious. Need to peel and fry small onions, flour, etc. After a long time of frying and mixing, finally, we had a mountain of 面茶 (dried). Thanks to Auntie Irene, Nicole and Margaret.

Simple but Great Weekend 14/03/2009 - 15/03/2009

Saturday morning went to NTUC Centre at One Marina Boulevard to meet the rest of the Balloon Sculpture Team members to proceed to the Singapore Zoological Gardens for the Mega Kidzquest. Much later after Eileen, Anthony and Jennifer left, Becky joined in. As there was sponge cake left, Nicole suggested to make a 念念不忘的 Durian Cake. Thanks to her that I can also enjoy the cake. While making the cake, Auntie Irene asked Becky to show us how to lay the cream and also piping.

Bread making machine? (26/10/2008) *Updated*

Only able to go to Auntie Irene's house on Sunday. Morning due to a session she had for making Durian Cake, she prepared extra ingredients for Margaret to make one for her 3rd sister's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARGARET'S 3RD SISTER.

After the session, due to Margaret's late appearance, we prepared the ingredients for the making of Glutinous rice and also chicken breast fillets.

When the Glutinous rice was cooked, smells so nice. Then we wrapped it in the Chicken Breast Fillets, add chicken stock and boil for 10 minutes. A special sauce was also prepared for this, yummy yummy. And both the dishes plus the chicken stock became our dinner. :)

In the evening, we tried to use the Bread making machine to prepare some dough for the Pumpkin Bread. After 1.5 hours, Auntie Irene found that the dough was very moist and need to keep adding flour and she wanted to dispose it. But, Margaret and me stopped her. We made some designs and so surprised to see the bread "GROW" bigger. So we bake the breads. Luckily the outcome was still very good... bread was still as soft and not hard even when I accidentially left a few pieces till today and they were still soft and yummy. (This phrase sounds familiar?)
