Asia Pacific Food Expo 2008 (14/11/08 - 18/11/08)

I visited the Food Expo on 15/11/08 after I skipped my last session of the 3 days SMART seminar held at Conference Room BCDEF which lasted from 14/11/08 to 16/11/08. The seminar was about Internet Marketing with speakers from US, organised by Stuart Tan.

Comex 2008

The Comex 2008 was an annual event. This year it was held at the Suntec Convention Hall - Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 from 28/08/08 to 31/08/08.

As usual, applied leave on Friday 29/08/08 afternoon to go visit the show. Meet up with "L" to do something before heading to Suntec to meet "R" at about 4pm. Bought RAM, blank CDs & DVDs, Thumb Drive, Printer before heading home at 6pm.

Due to "L" saw me upgrade my laptop's RAM, he also wanted to upgrade his but he dunno what RAM his laptop using. So, we met on Saturday 1.10pm to check and get the RAM for him. At the sametime, I also bought Thumb Drive and MP3 Players (for gifts).
Before we left the Hall, we saw 2 internet gaming characters and took a photo.



Look at the crowd at Level 1, only able to inch forward very slowly. It took us about half an hour before we reached te MRT Station.

Stress, Relax, Fun and Yummy. 12/06/08 ~ 15/06/08

Supposingly took leave on 12/06/08 to study for the exam on 13/06/08, but ended up visiting Auntie Irene, cook Chilli Prawns for my mum to try. Luckily, the "boss" revised the topics with me from 5.30 pm to 7.30pm. I went home after that, but never continue to study. Too stress. :(

On the exam day (Friday the 13th), quick glance at the M5 notes on the journey to Suntec (Exam at Tower 2). During the exam, so worried and nervous. As the exam was computerised, once u clicked "FINISH", the results will appear almost immediate on screen. The exam was from 9am to 11am and consisted of 100 MCQ questions and must score 75% and above to pass.

I was supposed to meet Auntie Irene, Sharon, Margaret and Raymond at about 1.30pm to go to The PC Show. But due to the fact that I finished my exam early, I went to Auntie Irene's House to meet her first and the go to Suntec together. As we were abit late, we took a taxi. After we alighted from the taxi, Auntie Irene 跌个"手脚伏地". 真不好意思, first time go out with Auntie Irene and she fell. So Sorry hah, Auntie Irene. Maybe it's "Friday the 13th". Luckily, she is alright with some minor lacerations and bruises.

As we walked around The PC Show, the pain became quite intense and Auntie Irene requested to end the trip early. Before we headed back to Auntie Irene's house, we had Prawn/Bah Kut Noodles/Fried Hokkien Noodles/Wanton Noodles at the Food Court there. Auntie Irene suggested to try make Kuih Lapis with the newly aquired 23L TURBO MIRA TKWS1523Q-Q1 oven from Happiness Pte Ltd.

The Results of Friday & Saturday trials (Very Satisfied)

Due to Auntie Irene injury, we got a break on Saturday (14/06/08) so that she can recoup. But instead, she baked another Kuih Lapis on her own and shared with us on Sunday (15/06/08).

Sunday was quite crowded. With Oink Oink, Mary, Sharon, Margaret and of course, Auntie Irene and me. Auntie Irene specially invited Oink Oink over to try the "Spicy" Chilli "大" Prawns which she complaint not spicy enough. We had the 香酥五香肉 made from 三层肉 which was a childhood favorite of Auntie Irene and Bean Spout with Salted Fish for "dinner" at 4.30pm. After that, Auntie Irene showed Oink Oink the process of making Cholocate Chiffon Cake.

Yong Mei was there from 3pm to 5pm. I went to the site at about 3.15pm and left at about 3.30pm after the stupid Osim staff asked me not to take photos of the equipments (I was taking photo of Yong Mei not their products) as they were confidential products... If confidential, why display and sell to consumers???? His attitude was not very friendly when asked me to delete the photos. I told him I dunno how to delete as the DC was newly bought. Spoilt my mood.





After the duty at the U Festival, went to walk around and happened to see Fiona Xie at the Road Show. Managed to take a few shots from far when she was leaving. (Effect not so good)

Eventful Saturday4

Reached Suntec City already almost 6.00pm. Went to take a look at the Energy Saving Exhibition...Nothing much.



After that, went Siam Kitchen (B1-055) with Lincoln to have some Thai food dinner (Using a $40 Sweet Treat Voucher from Singtel which expiring end April)... The total amount including 10% Service Charge and 7% GST was $48.25. So I only paid $8.25 for this meal. Hahahahaha. :)

Singapore Airshow 19 Feb ~ 24 Feb 2008

I took half day leave in order to visit the Airshow (I got the ticket from my manager and was valid from 19 - 22 Feb 08, the last 2 days will be opened to public). This was my 1st visit ever to the Airshow. I reached there at about 1.30pm.

The security at the exhibition area was very tight. From registration till entering the site was like checking in for a flight at the Airport.... Body scan, X-ray etc.

Finally, I entered the site. But so malu... :P

Instead of going to the exhibition area, I went to Chalet area and got lost. I called my colleague who was on duty there and finally reached the exhibition hall and met up with him.
