So happy that I won tickets from Love 972's "最爱 528 德江咏梅" on 31st July 2007 to attend the Gala Premiere of the movie "881" which means "Papaya" at GV Vivo City and to collect tickets at 6.45pm on that day (ie today).
I left for Vivo City at @ 5.30 pm. At @5.40pm, I recieved a call from Andy Goh telling me that the show time was sheduled at 9.10 pm. Then I asked him why the collection time so early and he was not able to explain. :)

I arrived at the cinema @ around 7.00pm met up with him, collected the tickets and left for dinner.
After dinner, I went back to the cinema area to find that 咏梅 was on the stage hosting an interview with the casts which started quite some time. So I took out my camera and start shooting... ;p

After which, the arrival of the Minister, and other big shots....
Following that was the Lion Dance to mark the event.
There was this time where the Lion was playing with the orange and 咏梅 who was by my side watching the Lion Dance told me that it will throwing out the orange .... To my surprise, the orange came straight towards me and .... I managed to catch hold of the orange. Kekekekeke.. :b I'm good at catching. LOL!!!
Then 咏梅 told me that I caught the orange and will "心想事成". Hahahaa.
After the Lion Dance, 咏梅 went up the stage and she said that anyone who got the orange, will be "大吉大利". With that she invited those with tickets to proceed to the specific cinemas to watch the show. Before entering the cinema, I bought the 881 OST CD at $20. The songs are very nice.

It started at 9.10pm and ended at 11.00pm. I hurried to the MRT station to catch a train as I was not sure what time is the last train leaving. When I reached home, it was already past 12.00 midnight.
881 is a nice and touching locally made movie and is worth watching especially the hokkien oldies. It was about how 2 close friends (Papaya sister) trying hard to become "Getai" singers and finally became popular but the "small papaya" died due to cancer. I think I will watch the movie again with friends and also when the movie is out on DVD, I will purchase it. Please support this home made movie. Well done Roystan. Thank you.
