Official opening of Ikea Tampines with Love 972 DJs 德江 and 晓英

Today is the grand opening of Ikea Tampines. I cycled to the store after work and reached there about 6.00 pm. (It took me 35 minutes to cycle from Loyang Way to Ikea). To my surprise, there were so many people especially children. The staffs of Ikea did a very good job of crowd control. Outside the new store were tentage setup for Radio DJs to do live program there. There were the DJs from Indian Station and also Love 972 DJs 德江 and 晓英. They were in their new 972 T-shirts. So I took a photo of them. (Look at the background opposite:its Giant...still under construction). I followed the queue and was in the store after 10 minutes wait....The interior was very big, i saw many kiasu people. Just grab the stuffs in the store as if it is for free. hahahahaha. Some Ikea staffs there were distributing a small red heart shape soft toy for free and many people just take and take. I make a short look around and then i left the store at about 6.45 pm.

There was a stage game competing against Ikea Alexandra going on outside the store. Look at the 2 DJs hosting the game. What are they staring at? (See photo).

BTW, today is the start of the SITEX 2006 at Singapore Expo, it will last till 03/12/2006. I will be visiting tomorrow.
